This course is designed to provide students with insight into Agile mindset and approach to project management, and it is a starting point for students to acquire skills required to build Agile discipline. The study areas include: the key aspects of value driven development, requirements discovery processes, adaptive planning techniques and envisioning, and how to collaborate with stakeholders and support self‐organizing teams. The core agile tools and techniques such as estimating and prioritizing user stories, product backlog, iteration planning, burndown charts, retrospectives, and daily standups will be explored. The course will introduce several Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean. Students will learn how to leverage both Agile and traditional project management methods, how they differentiate and complement each other, and when is appropriate to apply Agile and when to blend it with traditional project management.
