Ethics and Professional Responsibility

This course focuses on the Law Society of Ontario's (LSO) Paralegal Rules of Conduct as well as the ethical issues faced by individuals as citizens and as professionals. It will assist students in clarifying a value system, establishing a framework for ethical decision making, and applying the LSO's Paralegal Rules of Conduct to practice as Paralegals. It will introduce students to Western and African ethical theories, indigenous history and the process of reconciliation.
