Enforcement Procedures

This course is a continuation of LAWW 1109 (Introduction to the Criminal Code of Canada) and provides an introduction to the various provincial and federal enforcement options available to peace officers. Students examine pertinent sections of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and their impact on Canadian criminal procedure. As well, students learn about professional conduct and the powers of arrest, search and seizure.
