Students learn to gather, locate, and conduct interviews with victims, witnesses, and the accused using professional, legal, and ethical methods. Students learn how to document accurately victim, witness, and accused statements to ensure all statements are admissible in court. Students will also learn to monitor, record, and assess behaviour accurately and in compliance with legal, professional, ethical, and organizational requirements. Students will also learn about surveillance techniques and/or tools used to assist in interviews and the importance of the Major Case Management system.
