Digital Resources for Art and Design

This course explores the technical significance of digital media as it applies to two- and three- dimensional art. Through lectures, demonstrations and tutorials, students will learn to use the Apple operating system, as well as design and image creation and manipulation software such as Adobe Photoshop. Emphasis will be on properly documenting and presenting artwork in a high-quality way, as well as preparing digital files for various platforms including printing. Concepts for the ‘digital environment' and ‘digital work flow' will be introduced and developed.
