Mechanical I

This course provides students with the opportunity to produce an assembled project in a mechanical environment by interpreting a simple engineering drawing. Students will learn about: basic metrology, benchwork and layout tools, safe set up and operation of milling machines, lathes and where machining fits into the mechanical and manufacturing trades, apprenticeships and career opportunities.
