What molecules are life forms made of? Why do we need to breathe oxygen? How is my body able to turn food into tissues and energy? How are plants able to harness sunlight and fuel chemical reactions? These are only a handful of the questions that you'll answer in this course. The aim of Biology I is to introduce students to concepts in the four foundational topics of Biology: cell and molecular biology, animal physiology, plant physiology, and ecology- preparing you for more focused studies in each of these disciplines.
