Matter is the material of the cosmos. Everything we see, feel and touch is made of it- including ourselves! The aim of this course is to give students a foundational understanding of the most important component in the universe. We'll start by learning about matter's properties, how it organizes, and ways to measure and classify matter. We'll then learn about the structure of matter's functional unit, the atom, and how it's able to form chemicals. Lastly, we'll delve into chemical reactions and learn how to make predictions about which chemicals, and how much, will be produced in an experiment.
