Gas Tech Metal Fabrication I

Students will review skills developed previously, including safety practices in shop and on worksites. In this course students will learn by sight the names of standard residential fittings, their specific use in the field, as well as fabrication techniques. They will also learn to use drawings, the theory, assembly and ordering of these fittings. Installation requirements for, A/C coils, humidifiers, and various air filters/air purification, will be covered. Assembly of square and round ducting together with commonly used fasteners will be demonstrated.
