An understanding of anatomy and physiology is essential for the Primary Care Paramedic. The purpose of this course is to provide students with an introduction to normal human anatomy and physiology. The course explores anatomical structure beginning at the cellular level, and progresses to the functions of major body systems. The role of various body systems in the regulation of homeostasis is examined.
