Upon successful completion of this course the potential electrical technician or electrical apprenticeship student should be able to explain common terms used in instrumentation systems and work within the SI and Imperial system of measurement for pressure and temperature. The student should also have the understanding of a basic instrumentation diagram and the ability to identify various components. The student will have the opportunity to understand the construction of and how various temperature and pressure sensing elements operate within a process control system. The student will also have the opportunity to install and calibrate various primary elements (sensors). The student will learn terms associated with the operational requirements of light and sound meters.
