This exciting course is a continuation in the study of Natural and Propane Gas industry. This semester will cover both utility and nonutility industrial, commercial and underground piping systems, Electrical theory practices from the utility side of meter base to the gas appliance electrical connections. This course will also cover the different control and ignition systems as well as interpreting ladder, schematic and wiring diagrams. Basic knowledge of gas fired domestic appliances with in-depth knowledge in pressure regulators, valves, gas meters and fuel containers, gas fired water heaters, combination systems and forced air gas furnaces. The content of this course will follow the B149.15 Gas Code and the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) curriculum for Modules 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, and 19. This course will lead to further study of Natural Gas and Propane systems in semester 2.
