Special Topics In Sociology

Society is changing faster than ever, and as a result, this raises a lot of questions about why things are the way they are. In this second-semester course, students will continue their investigation into the major sociological subject areas like stratification (social, global, and gender), economics and politics, the family, and education. By examining our world more deeply, students will not only develop knowledge about how things work, but be better equipped to ask good questions, find quality sources of information, and combine ideas to formulate strong answers to any question. As a result, studying sociology will help prepare students for any future path. What new questions about society will arise during your semester?
