Health & Well Being

This course explores the health care system in Canada in the context of health, wellness, illness, and disability as it relates to the role and scope of practice of a Developmental Services Worker as a member of the inter-professional team. Students will explore current legislation governing healthcare; safety, providing intimate personal care, and will develop an understanding of the functioning of various body systems and how these systems impact well-being over the lifespan.
