This course includes the theory and practice of Construction Site Supervision and Management as applied in the construction industry. Students examine the construction practices, systematic project management, estimating, planning, scheduling concepts, production planning, managing time, resource management, scheduling applications, coordination and cost system. Utilizing project management software, students practice and analyze various types of scheduling used in construction including the Critical Path Method, Cash Flow Charts and Corrective Action tools. Students learn and practice contract administration processes as used in the construction industry. Overall, students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to manage construction projects based on the contract, specifications and drawings. The main objectives are to save time, cost and maintain high quality at every phases of construction project from start to finish.
