This course is a continuation of Electricity 1 (ELEC 1131), which focused on DC fundamentals and magnetism. Electricity 2 focuses on AC fundamentals. This course begins with an introduction to the analysis of Capacitors and Inductors in DC and AC circuits. This course proceeds with the study of Transformers, and AC RC and RL circuits. This course then concludes with the analysis of RLC circuits, resonance, and passive filters. This course has four hours per week overall; two hours of theory/lecture class time per week configured as one, two-hour class, and lab class time configured as a two-hour lab per week.
