Advertising students will complete a 5-week, 200-hour field placement in the communications industry, demonstrating their acquired knowledge and skills. While students are encouraged to be proactive in securing opportunities, the program team provides support through lead generation and interview coordination with industry partners. This placement is essential for graduation and allows external placement supervisors sufficient time to accurately assess student performance. Students are expected to function as employees while on placement; although full days are preferred, hours can be adjusted/negotiated based on company needs and ever-evolving work models.
