This course is designed to acquaint the student and businessperson with legal aspects of carrying on business in Canada. Topics include the nature and sources of law and the court system. The course emphasizes contract law and surveys key aspects of tort law. The course explores the application of employment laws to supervision and management issues and/or compares and contrasts legal rights and obligations of various types of business.
