Students will learn the methods of promotion and publicity used by the music industry in working with traditional and digital media, including social networks. They will come to know the strategies, roles, and responsibilities of music publicists with respect to promoting artists, albums, and live events. In completing their assessments, students will gain hands-on experience working with a raft of digital tools and techniques used by publicists and marketers. They will also learn to develop and format written promotional materials for servicing the media.
