The success of your personal and professional relationships is directly related to your ability to communicate effectively with others. We will focus our learning experience on the importance of effective communication and applying knowledge of interpersonal relations and group dynamics, while working within a team environment. Emphasis will be placed on applying effective communication skills with individuals and groups. Group cohesiveness and group decision-making will be discussed, applied, evaluated, and supported. You will also have the opportunity to participate in practical exercises that focus on working in a team environment, while aiming at your success in the workforce. These exercises will include (and are not limited to) a strong focus on the following: problem-solving, critical thinking, managing and overcoming conflict, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, accountability, critical discussion, setting goals, and active listening. When you have completed this course, you will have extensive knowledge and transferable skills that will enhance your success both in the workforce, and in your personal relationships.
