Mechanical Maintenance Computers

This course aims to introduce skilled trades' students to current professional maintenance practices in industry. Through the study of computers and software in the maintenance workplace, students become familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), current and emerging technologies as well as elements of effective maintenance organizations. Practice with a CMMS will develop applicable skills in planned maintenance activities, communication, reporting, information access and organization, information storage systems and technical document preparation.
