Make-Up Application and Corrective Techniques

This course covers foundational make-up application techniques with the use of professional tools, applicators and cosmetic products. Students will be introduced to colour theory principles, skin preparation methods and techniques to perform make-up applications in accordance with various facial shapes and features. Students will be introduced to various cosmetic products and formulations commonly used in the spa industry, and how to select and apply suitable products for clients after skin care treatments and for professional daytime applications. This course places a strong emphasis on following infection control protocols to meet professional industry standards.
