In this course, students practice advanced massage techniques and perform in-depth palpation of the lower limb, torso, head and neck. The course focuses on integrating knowledge and skills from Clinical Skills and Techniques I and II in order to develop and deliver safe and effective treatments. Students continue to apply the principles of outcome-based massage and consider current evidence when selecting and sequencing massage techniques for patient impairments. In the classroom and laboratory, clinical case examples provide students the opportunity to strengthen critical thinking skills and apply their knowledge to simulated situations.
