Have you ever wondered how vaccines work, or why blood and urine analyses are helpful for diagnosing disease? Students describe the detailed structures and functions of the human body related to the urinary, skeletal, muscular, immune, endocrine, nervous, and reproductive systems. Students use critical thinking skills to apply this anatomy and physiology to case studies related to human health, disease, and homeostasis. Students also apply principles of the scientific method while evaluating scientific questions about the human body. Through interactive activities and hands-on laboratory-based learning, this course prepares students for university-level studies in healthcare-related fields.
