Non-Destructive Testing - Ultrasonic II

Expands the theory of Ultrasonic testing (UT) from NDTE 3101. It strengthens understanding of equipment calibrations, application of codes and specifications and detectability of specific flaws by UT. Learn to complete full inspections of product using immersion, normal beam contact, and angle beam method of the Ultrasonic inspection process. Expand on flaw sizing skills and common discontinuity identification including plotting of results. Dedicated laboratory time and exercises provide the hands-on time to use equipment with skill and confidence. Course content meets or exceed the requirements of CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2022 standard for Qualification and Certification of Non-Destructive Testing Personnel for UT Level 2.
