This course is designed to enhance student's data literacy and introduce them to business analytics tools and techniques used in the sport industry. Students are provided with practical strategies to collect data and convert it into meaningful information and actionable insights. They will also assess how data analysis and analytics are used in needs assessment, opportunity identification, business problem solving, and stakeholder communications. A primary objective of this course is to help students utilize data-driven decision-making to enhance the fan or customer experience, and optimize revenue generation for sport organizations.
