Manufacturing is the means by which materials become more valuable as they are processed into products. This course explores the materials and processes that are used in manufacturing and provides an overview of the many deformation processes, joining processes, consolidation processes, material-removal processes, and material alteration processes. Emphasis is placed on understanding the strengths and limitations of each approach.
