Students will examine current literature and review the main concepts of psychological trauma, recovery, and resiliency. Trauma across the lifespan as well as its antecedents, symptoms, potential recovery methods, and the use of coping mechanisms will be explored. Focus will be on the advancement of knowledge and skills based on theory integration, research evidence, practice and approaches, and critical thinking.
