This is the second of two advanced database development courses which cover database processing theory and practice. Students continue to examine the logical design and development of database solutions for typical business scenarios. Students are introduced to physical database design, as well as administrative tasks and management of distributed databases and pertinent legal, ethical and governance issues. Additionally, students will work together in groups to define the requirements for a database and application solution to solve a typical business problem. The choices made by the student groups should be supported by a rationale for use based on client needs as well as student ability with the selected technologies.
