Single Case Research Designs

This course will advance students' knowledge of single-case research methods through in-depth inquiry of the theoretical foundations of empirical research as well as practical issues in conducting experimental research. Special attention will be paid to conducting meaningful experimental research in applied settings. Students will design single-case studies, assess reliability and validity, creating visual displays, identifying experimental design flaws in the published literature, and writing a research prospectus and report.
