Advanced Neural Networks: Deep Learning for Spatial Analysis

The course introduces students to Convolutional Neural Nets (CNNs), the modern deep neural network architectures most commonly used for processing image and other two- dimensional data, including for image classification, (medical) image analysis, object detection, object localization, segmentation, and other computer vision tasks. Students study the typical CNN architectures, including YOLO, ResNet, variants of VGG, and the Siamese network.
