An important skill for the practicing paralegal is writing clear, concise, and well-reasoned decisions. Students will develop techniques and explore best practices to support writing effective introductions and put into practice strategies to structure, organize, draft and revise. Students will gain insight into how to more effectively advocate for clients through an in-depth study of decision-writing. For future adjudicators, this course will provide students with an introduction to the effective management of a hearing with a view to rendering decisions that are capable of withstanding appeal.
