Digital Media for Fine Arts

This course provides students with a basic understanding of how websites and web related applications are designed and coded. Through various hands-on assignments, students gain experience in the design, layout, and optimization of visual and written content for distribution via the internet. Students are also provided the opportunity to create one or more works of art that answer an open call for an online art competition. They explore concepts and procedures involved in preparing digital files suited to the publishing and promotion of the art competition as an on-line exhibition.
