Development Of Self II

This course will build on the concepts introduced in Development of Self I and will focus on more advanced aspects which influence the professional practice of nursing. Leadership, change, and conflict management theories will be applied to nursing case studies. Current issues in the health care field will be presented. This course will also explore the CNO's legal and professional expectations including self-regulation, quality assurance, professional conduct and using an ethical framework. Students will learn the role of the UCP and the RPN's responsibility related to working with UCP's and the interprofessional team. Students will be supported in their preparation for the RxPN and employment in nursing.
