Students will develop knowledge and competence in interpreting the history and philosophy of behaviourism, theoretical approaches to understanding behaviour, and interpretation of behaviour in terms of the concepts and principles of behaviour analysis. Students will compare and contrast a variety of approaches in behaviourism, between major theorists, and aspects of those theories research findings, that continue to be of use in understanding human behaviour. Additionally, students will investigate theories of cultural influence and how a science of human behavior may contribute to society.
