Gas Technician – evenings and weekends REGISTRATION FOR WINTER 2026 OPENS ON DECEMBER 1ST, 2025, AT 9:00 A.M. The Evening Gas Technician courses include code requirements, propane fundamentals, system testing, and troubleshooting. The core curriculum is standardized and accredited by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), the industry’s regulatory body. Participants can challenge the TSSA for a Gas Technician 3 or Gas Technician 2 license upon completion. Delivered evenings and weekends, these courses offer students the flexibility to learn while working. Durham College also offers two daytime certificate programs for those interested in full-time offerings. Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Techniques (HVAC) graduates are eligible to challenge TSSA for Gas Technician 3 and Oil Burner Technician 3 certification.
