Graduation year: 2016

After graduating at the top of her class from DC’s Graduate Certificate Program in Human Resources Management and obtaining the CHRP designation, Mara joined a healthcare recruitment firm and facilitated the onboarding of all new staff. 

In 2018, Mara joined Borden Ladner Gervais LLP where she coordinated the recruitment, orientation, mentor matching, secondment placements, lunch and learns, social events and performance management process for all summer and articling students.

Currently, Mara is an HR Coordinator at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP where she is responsible for attendance management, service anniversary awards and performance management of staff. She attributes her hands-on experience at DC to gaining the essential skills necessary for her day-to-day duties.
