With food costs rising across Ontario, supporting students facing food insecurity is more important than ever.

Last year, nearly 1,000 students benefited from the generosity of the Durham College (DC) community, which came together to fund the Food Access Bursary. This one-time bursary helps students cover the cost of a holiday meal, giving them a chance to enjoy the season and ease financial stress.

Are you an employee or community member who would like to donate?

You can make double the impact this year. The Durham College Alumni Association will match donations to the Food Access Bursary up to $10,000 when you make a direct gift to Durham College. Please select the "Food Access Bursary" option on the Durham College Online Giving Form.

Donations are accepted until December 31. Gifts of $20 or more are eligible for a charitable donation receipt for the 2025 tax year.
