Lean Into Green: DC Update and Employee Celebration

This event provides a valuable opportunity for DC employees to gather as a community, reflect on the past year, look ahead to the future, and celebrate the people who make it all possible.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Welcome and mingling
Start the morning off with refreshments, made possible through the valued support of our community partners, and connect with colleagues before the program begins. This year, we’re hopping on a recent social media trend and inviting employees to share their favourite baby or childhood photo. Participation is optional, but if you’d like to join in, please submit a photo when you register. We’d love to see them!

Leadership remarks
As we mark the one-year anniversary of our Strategic Vision, you’ll hear updates from members of the Executive Leadership Team on progress across each of our four goals – Future-Focused, Sustainable, People-Centred and Community-Connected. We will also share reflections on the past year and what’s ahead for DC. In addition, our Board Chair will bring greetings on behalf of DC’s Board of Governors.

Employee recognition
We will honour colleagues celebrating full-time service milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years. We will also be acknowledging the recipients of the Employee Awards of Excellence.

BBQ lunch
We’ll wrap up the morning with a BBQ lunch, generously sponsored by Chartwells, the perfect way to end a day worth remembering!
