T2202 Tuition and Enrolment Certificate

If you paid tuition, you may be able to claim tuition amounts on your tax return by using the Tuition Tax Receipts (T2202) form. The form will be available online via MyDC as of the last business day of February at 4 p.m.

CHANGES TO THE T2202 – 2019 AND FORWARD:

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requires all designated educational institutions in Canada to do the following:

  • File Tuition and Enrolment Certificate forms (T2202) with the CRA and make them available to students by February 28th.
  • Include SIN numbers on the Tuition and Enrolment Certificate Form (T2202).

In order for us to produce your T2202, you are required to add your SIN to your student account by December 31st in the year in which you were enrolled.  Once entered, it is not necessary to do it for future tax years. You can do this on MyDC by:

  • Logging in to the Self-Service Log In
  • Click Personal Information
  • Click Social Insurance Number Collection *Mandatory*
  • Click Save to submit your SIN number

In order to protect your privacy, we cannot collect SIN numbers through email.
