The charts below indicate active on-campus students or employees who have tested positive for COVID-19. Latest update On-campus cases COVID-19 Update: A new COVID-19 case has been reported at DC’s Whitby campus – May 12 Latest update: Wednesday, May 12 One new positive case of COVID-19 has been reported at Durham College’s (DC) Whitby campus. The individual was last on campus in the main building on Thursday, May 6. Those who are at risk from this case have been contacted by DC and may be contacted by the Durham Region Health Department (DRHD) if required. This case is unrelated to any other case that has been reported on campus. Activity at the Whitby campus continues as scheduled. Learn more On-campus cases (has been to campus within the past 14 days) Updated: Friday, May 14 Campus Isolated cases Outbreak cases** Oshawa 6 0 Whitby 4 0 **An outbreak is defined by the Durham Region Health Department as two or more lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in students and/or employees (or other visitors) where at least one case could have reasonably acquired their infection on campus. Please note: if Public Health determines there is a health and safety risk on campus due to a positive case of COVID-19, the college will be provided with directives and appropriate steps will be taken. Public Health will directly contact any individuals deemed to be at risk. As a reminder, the health and safety of our campus community remains our highest priority and DC has taken extensive measures to help control the spread of COVID-19. This includes, ensuring all people coming to campus take the COVID-19 Pre-entry Screening Questionnaire, limiting the amount of people on campus, as well as implementing very strict preventative safety measures and enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols.
