Emergency Closure

Durham College makes every effort to maintain normal operations, however, sometimes the college needs to close, in whole or in part, because of:

• Emergency situations with significant risk to the campus community
• Inclement weather (e.g. severe storms, etc.)
• A utilities failure (e.g. power outages, etc.)

Emergency closures are communicated using the following channels:

• Alertus App
• Email to students and employees at their Durham College email address
• DC mobile app
• Social media (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram)
• Durham College website
