Annual walk-run event to support local youth April 5, 2011 OSHAWA, ON. – Members of the media are invited to join staff, faculty and students at Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) as they lace up their running shoes to take part in the fifth annual Campus Charity Run and Walk for the Eastview Boys and Girls Club on Tuesday, April 12. For a $20 entry fee, participants will walk or run a scenic five-kilometre course around the schools’ campus in north Oshawa in support of the club and its special role in the community. Durham College and UOIT faculty, staff and students are proud to support a number of organizations, groups and events throughout the year, contributing to the building of stronger communities across Durham Region. The Eastview Boys and Girls Club provides a safe, supportive place where children and youth in Durham Region can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.
