Durham College, UOIT to match employment needs of students and leading businesses at 10th annual Job Fair

January 31, 2007

OSHAWA, Ont. – An estimated 1,200 Durham College and University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) students will head straight to the source this February as they learn about future job opportunities with today’s leading companies at the college and university’s 10th annual Job Fair.

Taking place on Wednesday, February 7, the Job Fair will give students an invaluable opportunity to network with representatives from 50 organizations representing a wide variety of local, provincial and national business and industry sectors.

A yearly initiative designed to help students secure potential full-time, contract, internship, part-time and summer jobs, the fair is an immensely successful event that allows students to meet with recruiters and learn about the various benefits and advantages their organizations bring to the table, while receiving valuable assistance with their career planning process.

Members of the media are invited to meet with employers to learn more about the latest hiring trends and speak with students to gain their perspective on finding employment in an increasingly competitive job market.
