Durham Region Concert Association to present significant donation to Durham College

Financial support to be provided to Music Business Administration/Management program students

OSHAWA, Ont. – Durham College will welcome members of the Durham Region Concert Association to campus next week to announce a major financial donation to the college that is designed to provide assistance to Music Business Administration/Management program students who achieve an academic standard and demonstrate a financial need.

It will enable those students to complete their studies in the music business field, an area of the community in which the concert association has played a key role for 40 years. The announcement will include specific details of the donation and the impact it will have on students now and in the future.

The two-year Music Business Administration and three-year Music Business Management programs prepare students to manage the business aspect of the music industry with graduates going on to potential careers in the recording industry including artist management; with booking and talent agencies, marketing and promotions firms and record labels; as music publishers; and working in intellectual property rights management.
