TSN's Jay Onrait to address graduates at Durham College's fall convocation ceremony

Co-host of SportsCentre’s late evening/morning loop edition to offer advice and inspiration to graduating students

OSHAWA, Ont. – TSN’s Jay Onrait, co-host of SportsCentre’s late evening/morning loop edition, will address graduates and their family and friends as well as the college’s faculty, staff and board of governors on Thursday, October 21 as 700 students from more than 65 programs graduate at fall convocation.

Through SportsCentre, Onrait brings viewers a complete summary of the day’s sports events including highlights and post-game reports. In addition to his role on SportsCentre, he served as co-host of Olympic Morning on CTV during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games and has covered the NBA finals numerous times. Onrait will share his personal life experiences with graduates as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

Students will accept diplomas and certificates from the schools of Applied Sciences, Apprenticeship, Skilled Trades & Technology; Business, IT & Management; Career Development & Continuing Education; Communication, Language & General Studies; Health & Community Services; Justice & Emergency Services; and Media, Art & Design.

The college’s fall convocation ceremony will bring its number of alumni to more than 52,000.
