Durham College Whitby Campus parking and entry changes – effective September 8

Changes to parking and traffic flow at Durham College’s Whitby Campus will take effect September 8. The parking lot has been divided into a gated permit-only area and an ungated area for permit holders and daily parkers to better support the parking needs of both groups and provide dedicated access for each type of parking.

Please use the entrance designated for the type of parking or access required.

Ungated permit holders and daily parkers

Enter through the east entrance on Stellar Drive.
The Champlain Avenue entrance is not available for ungated permit holders or daily parkers.
Limited daily parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

South-gated permit holders

Enter through the entrance on Champlain Avenue only.
An access card is required. Details regarding new access cards will be provided shortly.
Daily parking is not available in this section.

Deliveries

If you are expecting a delivery, please share the Champlain Avenue entrance as the delivery entrance and advise the driver to use the intercom to request access.

Student drop-off

Students being dropped off can use the Champlain Avenue bus loop near the main entrance to the Don Lovisa Building.

Finding the campus

To access the gated lot, enter 1610 Champlain Avenue into your GPS navigation. To access the ungated parking or daily parking lot, approach the campus via Stellar Drive and use the east entrance.

Other transportation options

When travelling by Durham Region Transit, the Stellar Drive (#94371) and Champlain Avenue (#94372) stops are located near the east entrance.

Parking Office
