Join the Green Impact Team and help make DC more sustainable

This message is being shared on behalf of Amanda Blenkhorn, Director, Ancillary Services.

At Durham College (DC), environmental stewardship and sustainability are an important part of our culture and our campus community. Our Green Impact Team brings together DC employees and students who are passionate about sustainability and interested in helping support and advance sustainability initiatives across our campuses.

We are looking for new members to join the team and bring their enthusiasm, ideas and perspectives to our ongoing work. Team members will have opportunities to actively participate in sustainability events and activities, attend meetings, bring forward new ideas, and help identify creative ways to engage the broader DC community.  Whether you have a specific sustainability initiative in mind, enjoy participating in community events and activities, want to help raise awareness among your peers and colleagues, or are simply interested in contributing to a more sustainable campus community, we would love to have you involved.

Join the Green Impact Team if you are:

  • Passionate about sustainability and environmental stewardship
  • Willing to actively participate in meetings, special events, environmental initiatives and team activities
  • Interested in helping engage students, employees and the broader DC community
  • Great at collaborating with others and helping bring new ideas to life

Together, the Green Impact Team can help build awareness, encourage participation and support meaningful sustainability initiatives across DC.

If you are interested in joining the Green Impact Team or would like to learn more about the opportunity, please reach out to Amanda Blenkhorn.

Our next virtual meeting is on Wednesday, October 14 at 2 p.m.  Please email to RSVP and receive the invite.
