DC nursing student receives Dr. George Blake Bursary

Durham College (DC) is pleased to congratulate DC nursing student Olawale Kolawole on being selected as the recipient of the 2026 Dr. George Blake Bursary.

“Receiving this bursary is a huge milestone in my nursing journey,” said Kolawole. “Durham College has given me the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue a career in mental health and addictions nursing, and my clinical placements at Ontario Shores, Lakeridge Health, and CAMH have only deepened that passion. This recognition is a source of real encouragement as I continue working toward becoming a nurse. I am looking forward to a career where I have an opportunity to make meaningful differences in the lives of people living with mental health and addiction challenges.”
