FAQs How do I find my Durham College email address? Your Durham College email address typically follows the format firstname.lastname@dcmail.ca. If another student has the same name, a number may be added. Full-time students can sign in to My Personal Info using their student number and date of birth in the MMDDYY format to view their account information. When will my network account be available? Your network account is typically created within 24 to 48 hours after: Domestic students pay their deposit International students pay their fees If your payment has not yet been processed, your account will not be available. What is my default password? For new students, the default password is usually your birth date in MMDDYY format. MFA provides an additional layer of security for your account by requiring a second method of verification when signing in. MFA is required for access to Microsoft services such as: DC Mail Microsoft 365 OneDrive Teams The Microsoft Authenticator app is the recommended authentication method. How can I set-up MFA if I don’t have a cellphone? You may set-up using a secure key (for example, a YubiKey). Secure keys are available for purchase at the Whitby and Oshawa Campus Stores. Visit the IT Service Desk once you have your key for setup assistance. Can I reset my password myself? Yes. If you have completed your first-time login and enrolled in MFA, you can use the Self-Service Password Reset tool to reset your password at any time. Why can't I use the Self-Service Password Reset tool? Self-service password reset requires that MFA has already been configured on your account. If: MFA has not been set up, or You no longer have access to your MFA device or authentication method, the IT Service Desk must verify your identity before assisting with a password reset. Why won't Wi-Fi connect on my device? Before connecting to Wi-Fi for the first time, you must complete your first-time login and change your default password. Connect to CAMPUS-AIR using: Username: Your student ID Password: Your current network password Your default password will not work for Wi-Fi access until it has been changed. What happens to my account when I graduate or leave the college? Your network account will be removed one year after your last class or when you leave college. Before your account is deleted, ensure that you: Move any files from OneDrive to personal storage. Move any important emails from DC Mail to a personal email account. I can log into DC mail but not DC Connect. Why? If you are a first-year student and haven't yet registered for courses, you will not be able to sign into DC Connect until 48 hours after enrolling in your classes.
